Medium still has RSS feeds for every writer, publication and tag

Medium keeps three feed patterns alive: writers at /feed/@username, publications at /feed/publication-name, and topics at /feed/tag/tag-name. All work in any reader.

How to do it

1. For a writerTake the @username from their profile URL and use medium.com/feed/@username.
2. For a publicationUse medium.com/feed/publication-name — the slug from the publication's URL. Custom-domain publications serve their feed at THEIRDOMAIN/feed.
3. For a topicmedium.com/feed/tag/artificial-intelligence gives the latest posts under any tag — a way to follow a subject rather than a person.

We crawl very few Medium feeds — most writers we track left Medium for Substack or their own domains, which mirrors where the platform's writing has gone. The patterns above are current and verified by hand as of August 2026.

Questions people actually ask

Do Medium feeds contain the full article?

Feeds carry previews for member-only stories (most of Medium's output) and the full text only for free stories. The paywall applies in the reader exactly as on the site.

Why does the feed only show recent posts?

Medium feeds return roughly the last 10 items. They are for following new work, not for reading an archive.
